About Us

My dream of breeding Siberian Huskies began when I brought home our first family dog, Diego. Diego is a mixed breed that we adopted from another family, and he came with many challenges! Nevertheless he became a part of our family and sparked a love of dogs that never left.  Four months after adopting Diego, I purchased my first pet Siberian Husky, Izzie. I had wanted a Siberian Husky since I was a child, and owning Izzie only made me fall more and more in love with the breed. Together, Diego and Izzie inspired my dreams of dog sledding, and from there it was just a short leap to my dreams of showing and breeding my own dogs.

In 2010, my dream started to become a reality when I visited Nanook Siberians and was given the opportunity to co-own "Misti", my first show quality Siberian Husky. Misti went on to become MBPIS Can Ch Nanook's Made from Memories, owner-handled by me to her Canadian Championship and three Best Puppy in Shows along the way. Later that year we were joined by "Teslin", a female of superb quality and pedigree who is now Can GCh Nanook's Yukon Lady. She finished her Canadian Championship at her first weekend of shows and was awarded multiple Group Placements during her show career, all owner handled by myself or her breeder/co-owner Annette Dionne. Teslin has since become the dam of several champions in multiple countries, and I count myself extremely blessed to have her both as the foundation of my breeding program and as my loving companion.

I must send out a huge thank you to my mentor Annette Dionne (Nanook Siberians) for sharing her dogs, her knowledge and her honesty with me. Annette has taught me so much since our first meeting in March of 2010, and I continue to learn from her teaching and her example every day. Her friendship, trust and guidance can never be repaid, and I feel extraordinarily lucky and grateful to have such a wonderful friend and mentor, without whom I wouldn't be where I am today.

In October of 2010 we moved out to an acreage west of Darwell, Alberta (about an hour west of Edmonton). My kennel name, Stormcall, was registered with the CKC in April of 2011, and the first litter to bear it was whelped in February 2012.

My focus is on breeding healthy dogs that are sound in both temperament and conformation and are capable of doing the job they were originally bred for- pulling a light load at moderate speed over great distances! Above all, I hope that I can help to perpetuate and give back to this wonderful breed that has so enriched my life. I hope that my passion and my dedication to health, soundness and temperament will help to improve the breed, or at the very least allow me to leave it as I found it for all future generations to enjoy.

I am a member in good standing of the the Canadian Kennel Club.
